Katoen Natie has three platforms in Spain. One in Tarragona, one in Santander and another one in Madrid.
Tarragona – Constantí
Our site at Tarragona started operations in 2000. It is perfectly situated as an intermodal point of entry into Spain and as distribution center for Southern Europe. Operators can be reached by vessel, train and truck. Not only the port of Tarragona - with direct services of major shipping lines - is at only 10km, there is also a train container terminal at 500m. The industrial estate is near to the junction of the highways connecting the French border with Southern Spain on one hand and the east- west axle connecting Barcelona over Zaragazo and Madrid with the Atlantic Coast.
It is the biggest off-site terminal for the storage of polyolefins in bulk in Spain, and one of the major multi-client logistics sites of Spain in general and especially of the Spanish East Coast
Tarragona – Port
In 2009 we inaugurated the first phase of our new multi-client and multi business unit adjacent to the Port of Tarragona.
Madrid – Corredor de Henares
Our Madrid activity, which started up in 2008 and situated in the logistics center of the Madrid area, forms the heart of the fine distribution of audiovisual products on the Iberian market. Advanced technologies like pick to light, customized labeling, reversed logistics, etc have been implemented in this logistically high tech activity. The swift implementation and fluent communication between the ERP-systems of both our client and Katoen Natie through EDI make this tailor made project a model in its kind. |
