The Italian company Interporto Rivalta Scrivia SpA joins the Katoen Natie Group.
The company, originally established on August 1st 1963 with the aim of enhancing the productivity of the port of Genoa, lies on an area of almost 1.500.000 square meters and it consists of 500.000 square meters of covered warehouses, which allow the storage of products of all different types going from food to lubricants, alcohol to cosmetics, raw material to furniture, whose 500.000 cubic meters for stocking fresh and frozen products.
Every day the freight village counts upon the constant support of 750 workers. Nearly 1.000 trucks enter daily the City and intermodal shuttle trains services link weekly Rivalta to Genoa, Rome and La Spezia; around 150.000 containers per year are handled in order to allow the ordinary activities.
On October 10th 2012 the Italian company Interporto Rivalta Scrivia SpA officially joins the Katoen Natie Group. The freight village is located in the core of Northwestern Italy, at the centre of a strategic triangle between Genoa, Turin and Milan, owning also a branch in Nocetolo di Gattatico, a few kilometers far from Parma and Reggio Emilia. |
