System Engineer, EMEA Region

Our Business Units Petrochemicals, Specialty Chemicals, Warehousing & Commodities and Food & Feed offer total solutions based on integrated logistics and engineering. To support these fast growing businesses, Katoen Natie is looking for a Competence Lead Testing.

The System Engineer at Katoen Natie is responsible for the System environments, from design through implementation and support.  Next to this, the System engineer performs investigation, diagnostics testing, repair and troubleshooting.

As a new System Engineer working in a regional team at Katoen Natie you are familiar with at least one, but preferably more, of the following technologies (order of appearance is irrelevant):

-Hyper converged server systems (Nutanix)
-Multiple hypervisors (Vmware ESXi, Nutanix AHV)
-Microsoft Windows Server Operating System: roles and features
-Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager
-Microsoft SQL Server
-Microsoft Azure public cloud
-Microsoft Exchange on premise & online
-Microsoft Active Directory
-Citrix XenApp & Citrix netscaler
-Rubrik backup
-Enterprise DDI
-Enterprise PKI
-Enterprise Application Delivery Controller
-Scripting

Your profile

Required experience

5+ years

You work within the infrastructure development team and focus on long-term projects. You are able to write technical documentations such as operational procedures, as-built documentation, logical- and physical designs. You are flexible in the sense you do not mind the rare occasional firefighting as a third line support engineer. You coordinate your activities with your peers in other regions (EMEA, AMER, and APAC). You collaborate to ensure standardized deployments across all regions as much as possible, given the local constraints. You stay in close contact with your peers through regular conference calls, meetings and travel. For that reason, and because of the international activities of Katoen Natie, you are willing to travel abroad for about 6 weeks per year.

In terms of personality, we are looking for a team player, someone who has strong technical, analytical and organizational skills. You should be able to communicate fluently in English, in a polite and friendly manner, both in writing and in speech.
